Child Health Records in One Place
Nemours Children's MyChart brings a child’s everyday care information into a patient-portal workflow that parents, guardians, and eligible patients can return to between visits. Users can review upcoming appointments, past visit details, doctor notes, test results, immunizations, growth charts, and instructions without keeping separate paper reminders. A health feed helps surface recent items so important updates are easier to find.
Because medical information can vary by age, relationship, and care setting, the portal is designed around the selected child and the records available for that account. Some results may appear before a provider has reviewed them, while other information may not be released online. This makes the app useful for organizing follow-up questions and keeping visit information nearby, without replacing direct medical advice.
Visits, Scheduling, and Video Care
Families can use the Visits area to see upcoming and past appointments, open visit details, complete Get Ready or other pre-visit tasks, and follow available scheduling options. A clearer view of dates, instructions, summaries, and follow-up details can help parents prepare before leaving home and revisit what happened after an appointment.
For eligible services, Nemours Children's MyChart also supports video visits, including urgent video care and scheduled appointments. Users can enter the visit flow from the portal and follow the preparation steps requested by their care team. Availability depends on the department and the patient’s account, so the app should be treated as a way to manage care access, not as a guarantee that every visit type can be booked online.
Messages, Refills, and Billing Tasks
Communication tools keep routine questions connected to the child’s care team. After signing in, a parent or patient can send a message, read replies, review provider comments on results, and use the available account area to request prescription refills. These tools are helpful when a question can wait for a reply and when the user wants a written trail alongside visit information.
The portal also brings payment and billing account management into the same care workspace for eligible linked accounts. A guarantor relationship may determine whether balances or billing actions appear. Families can use the app to check available information, contact the appropriate office, and keep refills or account questions organized instead of searching through unrelated channels.
Family Profiles and Everyday Health Tools
A family account can include more than one patient, so switching to the right child is an important part of the MyChart experience. The selected profile controls the shortcuts, messages, visits, and health information shown on the home screen. This arrangement is useful for parents managing several children because it keeps each person’s care context separate while still allowing one account to move between profiles.
Beyond records and appointments, the app can connect families with KidsHealth articles and videos, symptom or care guidance, reminders, and condition-focused tools when they are available for the account. Some programs can also support health and fitness data uploads. These resources turn the portal into a practical place for preparation and education, while urgent concerns still belong with a clinician or emergency service.
