SleepImage starts with the information supplied by a healthcare provider. After accepting the terms, a patient can choose a region, create or continue an account, and enter the Patient ID and date of birth associated with the planned study. The setup keeps the mobile workflow linked to the correct care pathway instead of treating the App as a general sleep tracker.
If the identifier cannot be matched, the patient can review the entered details and contact the provider for a correction. This is useful for home patients who need a clear sequence from invitation to equipment setup, especially when several household members or more than one study could otherwise make the handoff confusing.
Bluetooth Recorder Pairing
Once the account and patient record are ready, SleepImage connects a compatible finger-worn recorder through Bluetooth. The supported hardware family includes SleepImage Ring PO2 for adults, Ring PO4 for children, and Fingertip PO6, subject to the provider's plan and regional availability. The pairing step is designed to keep the recorder and phone associated before an overnight session begins.
Nearby-device access, Bluetooth, a charged recorder, and a phone within range all help the handoff succeed. Patients can use this setup when a clinician has supplied the equipment and they need a guided way to confirm the recorder connection without managing a separate desktop transfer.
Overnight Study Capture and Upload
The study workflow is built around an overnight recording. From the Sleep area, the patient starts the session after putting on the compatible recorder, leaves the equipment in place while sleeping, and stops the session after waking. SleepImage then transfers the collected data through the phone so it can reach the provider's review workflow.
A dependable upload benefits from internet access, foreground operation when requested, and enough battery for the night. This arrangement suits people completing a home study who want the phone to serve as the bridge between wearable sensing and clinical follow-up, while keeping the start and stop actions understandable at bedtime and in the morning.
Guided Home Testing for Ongoing Care
SleepImage is intended for provider-directed care rather than unsupervised interpretation. The mobile flow gives patients a repeatable way to prepare a recorder, complete a night at home, and return the resulting session to the healthcare team. The App targets Android 12 or newer and can use notifications, Bluetooth, nearby-device access, network connectivity, and background operation as the phone requires.
