Alaska Hawaiian brings Alaska Airlines and Hawaiian Airlines travel into one booking flow. Travelers can search by origin, destination, dates, and passenger count, then compare routes for a round trip, one-way journey, or multi-city itinerary. A points toggle also lets Atmos Rewards members begin an award search instead of pricing the trip only with money.
The Book tab keeps these choices together without requiring travelers to switch between airline apps. It also supports eligible partner itineraries, which is useful when a trip combines regional, mainland, or international segments. This unified approach makes the app practical for planning a new journey across either brand's network.
Keep Trips, Check-In, and Boarding Details Together
The Trips area gives travelers a home for upcoming reservations and day-of-travel actions. Users can add a trip, sign in to retrieve account-linked bookings, check in when the window opens, and reach a mobile boarding pass. Eligible itineraries may also support flight changes, cancellations, seat actions, baggage payments, and sharing trip or boarding details with companions.
Real-time flight information helps connect the planning stage with the airport experience. Gate changes, boarding updates, standby or upgrade lists, and earlier or later flight options can appear when relevant to the reservation. Keeping these actions close to the itinerary reduces the need to search through confirmation emails during travel.
Track Atmos Rewards and Personalize the Experience
Atmos Rewards is integrated into the account side of Alaska Hawaiian. Members can sign in to review points activity, follow progress toward status, and connect eligible loyalty details with reservations. The account area also provides a starting point for storing traveler information and using rewards when searching for flights, while guests can still browse public trip-planning areas before signing in.
A brand selector changes the app's colors and presentation between Alaska Airlines and Hawaiian Airlines themes. Travelers can choose the look they recognize without losing access to either airline's booking network. A separate icon choice extends that preference to the Android home screen and can be changed later through Brand Experience settings.
Use Travel-Day Tools from Airport to Arrival
Alaska Hawaiian includes practical tools for the period between booking and arrival. Travelers can receive trip notifications, open boarding information, monitor flight status, and use eligible airport maps. Depending on the itinerary, the app can also support meal preorders, checked-bag payment, travel-document verification, TSA PreCheck or Global Entry details, and electronic bag tag setup on compatible devices.
These options are designed around tasks that often become time-sensitive at the airport. Mobile boarding passes can be added to Google Wallet, while trip and pass sharing helps companions keep the same details available. Feature availability depends on the route, airport, fare, device, and reservation, so the relevant controls appear as each journey becomes eligible.
