Quick Event Entry and Reminders
Event entry is built around the date a user is already viewing. Select a day, enter the event details, and save from the calendar or the plus button; the same task can also start from a widget or the app icon. Repeat settings support patterns such as yearly birthdays and anniversaries, so recurring commitments do not need to be recreated from scratch.
Version 12.8.00.18 adds reminder creation from the Create Schedule screen and lets users adjust a reminder’s date from the calendar. Notification choices help important plans surface at the right time, while the Quick input area recommends commonly used entries for faster capture of familiar routines.
Search, Date Selection, and Calendar Navigation
Search and navigation help users find an existing schedule instead of scrolling through every date. The search entry opens a focused field with voice input and quick options, while Search settings provides a separate place to adjust how calendar items are found. This is useful for people who remember an event title but not the exact day.
The date selector offers a year-and-month picker for jumping directly to a period, and horizontal movement keeps month-to-month planning simple. A calendar can therefore support both quick lookups and longer planning sessions, from checking one appointment to reviewing the shape of an upcoming term, project, or trip.
Shared Calendars and Personal Schedule Control
Samsung Calendar can bring several calendars into one schedule, including Google Calendar, and color coding helps separate work, family, study, or personal plans at a glance. Recurrence, time-zone choices, and notification styles add control when an event needs more than a title and date. Widgets extend that overview to the home screen with adjustable transparency.
For shared planning, users can create a shared calendar, invite people, and add events together after signing in to a Samsung account. That makes Calendar useful for households, teams, and recurring group plans, while people who keep a private schedule can stay with personal calendars and the month, week, day, or task views that fit their routine.
