Joining Support Sessions from Android
Session joining is the starting point for remote assistance from an Android phone or tablet. Enter a unique session code in the join field, tap Join Session, and connect to an existing desktop session when a client or colleague needs help. This workflow suits support staff who are away from a workstation but still need to see the remote environment and communicate with the person on the other end.
The same entry screen also provides Login as Operator for users who manage support sessions. New sessions, invitations, and account-based access can then follow the service workflow, while a person joining an existing session can begin with the code supplied by an operator. The simple split between joining and operating keeps the first action clear.
Remote Desktop Controls and Assistance
Once a connection is active, ISL Light turns the Android device into a practical remote-support console. Users can view a remote screen, switch between high-speed and higher-quality sharing, zoom into details, select monitors, and move between left- and right-click behavior. Keyboard and mouse controls include special keys such as Ctrl, Alt, Windows, function keys, and Ctrl+Alt+Del for hands-on troubleshooting.
Support work can continue through in-session chat, a black-screen request, Task Manager access, or a remote reboot followed by session resume when the connected environment allows it. These controls help technicians diagnose issues, guide a client, or perform routine maintenance without carrying a laptop for every short intervention.
Unattended Access and Shared Files
ISL Light also supports remote access to computers that have been configured with ISL AlwaysOn. After the remote endpoint is prepared, users can reach an unattended computer, keep a password for quicker entry, and handle routine checks or updates from an Android device. This makes the app useful for support teams managing several workstations rather than only responding to one live request.
Shared files provide a second remote-access path. Files stored on an AlwaysOn computer can be browsed and opened from a phone or tablet without first moving them into a cloud service. Account access is part of this workflow, and the available computers, folders, and controls depend on the remote setup, network connection, and permissions configured for that endpoint.
Mobile Device Support and Add-Ons
Mobile-device support extends the service beyond computer screens. ISL Light can help an operator view an Android phone or tablet through live screen sharing, while full control depends on the device, Android version, and a compatible add-on or manufacturer service. The Universal Add-On can be offered when extra control support is available, and Samsung devices may use KNOX for deeper interaction.
For teams that assist customers, this is useful for troubleshooting settings, guiding on-device tasks, preparing a device, or managing data with the owner’s consent. Session tools and device-specific support paths make the app suitable for help desks, field technicians, and teams that need to explain or resolve mobile problems remotely.
