The Home view groups work by rooms such as Bathroom, Bedroom, Entire Home, Garden, Kitchen, Laundry, and Living Room, so users can focus on one area or scan the whole house at a glance. Each room can become a practical starting point for deciding what needs attention next.
Users can add a new room, open all tasks, review history, and check a short summary of recent activity from the same home dashboard. Colorful room icons make the list easy to scan, while custom spaces support apartments, shared homes, offices, or other places with recurring cleaning work. This structure is useful for people who prefer small, visible steps over an overwhelming whole-house plan.
Recurring Tasks and Daily Scheduling
HomeTasker makes a chore useful only when it can fit into a real calendar. From the Schedule tab, users can move across dates, view what is planned for today, and create a task with a title, optional notes, room, date, and repeat cycle. Weekly routines are easy to understand, while one-time tasks can sit beside longer-running household habits.
Preset tasks help people start without writing every chore from memory, and checklists can break a larger job into smaller actions. Reminders add a prompt when a task needs attention, and completion history gives the routine a record over time. This combination suits busy households that need flexible planning rather than a rigid timetable, whether the goal is a quick daily reset or a deeper seasonal clean.
Mira Suggestions and Room Scanning
HomeTasker’s Mira cleaning assistant adds a guided way to turn a cleaning goal into a workable plan. Users can ask for help planning the week, receive suggested tasks such as vacuuming a living room or wiping kitchen counters, and place those suggestions into a schedule. The room-scan concept extends that workflow by using a room image to suggest cleaning or organization checklists.
The assistant is useful when the hardest part is deciding where to begin. Instead of opening a blank task form, users can start with a proposed list and adjust it to match their home, time, and priorities. A beta label is shown for Mira in the app experience, so it is best treated as an optional planning aid alongside the app’s regular room and schedule tools.
Shared Homes, Reminders, and Progress
HomeTasker supports household routines that involve more than one person. Tasks can be assigned or shared with family members, roommates, or cleaning staff, while rotation settings help distribute recurring responsibilities across a home. Notifications and reminders keep each person aware of upcoming work, and a shared view can make it easier to see which chores are waiting or complete.
Progress tools add a sense of continuity to everyday maintenance. Cleaning history, summaries, streaks, achievements, and room-level activity help users notice patterns and keep a routine alive instead of starting from zero each week.
