Redact organizes social networks and online communities into one service directory, so users can begin a cleanup without switching among many separate apps. The Android list includes entries for Discord, Facebook, Twitter/X, Reddit, Instagram, Bluesky, ChatGPT, Claude, SoundCloud, Steam, Strava, and other supported platforms. Search helps narrow the list when a particular account is the priority.
Each service must be connected before Redact can review account history. Availability differs by platform: some entries offer limited access, while locked services require Premium. This structure lets users see which cleanup routes are available before they sign in, and it keeps account connections separate rather than treating every platform as one shared login.
Filter and Remove Account History
The main workflow is built around reviewing and deleting older online activity in batches. Depending on the connected service, users can target posts, comments, messages, likes, files, or other supported content, then narrow the selection with filters such as keywords, dates, or content types. Previewing the selection first helps avoid removing unrelated material.
A dedicated Delete From tab places service selection at the start of the process, while the Home screen tracks deleted and archived totals. Platform limits can slow large cleanups, and supported content varies between services. Redact is therefore most useful when users plan a cleanup carefully, review the matched items, and allow time for the selected platform to process each removal.
Keep Local Deletion Archives
Local backup gives users a way to preserve a device-side record of content handled through Redact. The Android Local backup area includes an on/off control, a saved-session count, a searchable log view, and filters for browsing recent sessions. This is useful when someone wants a reference copy before removing years of posts or messages from an online account.
The archive is designed to stay on the device rather than becoming another public or cloud-based copy. Users should enable it before starting a deletion when they may need the material later, because content removed from the original platform may not be recoverable. Storage use can grow with larger sessions, so reviewing saved logs and available device space is a practical part of repeat cleanups.
Manage Premium Access and Account Settings
The Settings area brings together Premium access, Redact account login, and controls related to recurring cleanup tasks. Premium expands mass deletion across more websites and apps, supports broader message, post, direct-message, and file cleanup, and adds smarter selection by keyword or content type. The service directory marks limited and locked entries so users can distinguish available tools from plan-dependent ones.
Redact account login is used to sync a Premium purchase across platforms, while individual services still require their own connection steps. Users should compare the plan details shown for their account before upgrading and confirm which platforms they actually need. Settings and local backup controls also make the app suitable for people who return periodically to review new activity instead of treating privacy cleanup as a one-time task.
