Enroll with Your Organization's Tenant
Netskope Client begins with organization-specific enrollment instead of a consumer account. A user enters the tenant name and domain supplied by an administrator, then continues to the organization's identity-provider sign-in. This ties the Android device to the correct Netskope environment before any security configuration is applied.
After authentication, the client downloads its assigned configuration and establishes the connection defined by the organization. Once connected, users can open the menu to view configuration details and connection status. This workflow suits managed deployments because employees follow a short, consistent path while administrators retain control of the tenant, identity rules, and service policies.
Route Web, Cloud, and Private-App Traffic
The Android client uses VpnService as its core connection mechanism, creating an encrypted TLS or DTLS tunnel to a Netskope gateway. That route lets employees reach approved websites, SaaS tools, and private applications from the office, home, or another remote location without choosing a consumer VPN region or managing separate network profiles.
Organizations can combine the client with Secure Web Gateway, Cloud Access Security Broker, Netskope Private Access, and cloud firewall services. The exact controls depend on the tenant configuration, but the practical goal remains consistent: steer business traffic through company-defined security services while keeping access available across changing networks and work locations.
Apply Data Protection on Mobile Devices
Mobile work can move sensitive information through cloud apps, email, private services, and corporate networks. Netskope Client extends organization-defined data protection to Android phones and tablets, allowing the same broad security approach used on desktops to follow employees when they work from mobile devices.
For company-owned hardware, administrators can distribute the client and configuration through supported mobile device management systems. BYOD deployments can focus controls on a designated Android work profile, helping separate business traffic from personal activity. This combination supports centralized policy, easier onboarding, and a more consistent protection model without asking each employee to assemble several independent security tools.
Work Securely from Office or Remote Networks
Once enrollment is complete, the client is intended to remain part of the user's normal work setup rather than act as a destination for frequent manual tasks. Employees continue opening their usual web, cloud, and private apps while the Netskope connection steers applicable traffic and applies the policies assigned to their device.
The app is most useful for hybrid workers, contractors, and managed-device users who need access to organization resources from multiple locations. Android allows only one active VPN service at a time, so another VPN app may interrupt the Netskope connection. Users should coordinate tenant details, identity access, and VPN conflicts with their IT administrator instead of changing managed settings on their own.
