One-Touch Punches and Department Transfers
PayClock turns a phone into a direct attendance entry point for employees whose company uses PayClock Online. The Home screen centers the current time, a prominent Punch Now button, pay-period totals, and daily punch activity, so workers can record a shift event and quickly confirm what has accumulated during the day. Each punch is sent into the wider attendance system instead of remaining in a separate personal tracker.
Department transfers support employees who move between teams, jobs, or work areas during a shift. A selectable department list limits the choice to assignments available to that employee, while optional location controls can help an organization attach a workplace position to punch activity. If connectivity drops, punches can be retained and sent when the phone reconnects.
Weekly Timecards and Punch Review
The Timecard area organizes attendance by pay-period week and shows both the overall period total and a daily total for each date. Employees can move between date ranges, expand an individual day, and review recorded punches or non-work time without waiting for a manager to provide a separate report. This makes it easier to notice an empty day or unexpected total before payroll processing begins.
Supervisor access extends the same workflow to employee records when the account has the appropriate role. Managers can review team punches, totals, benefit time, and non-work entries, with editing options governed by the company's PayClock setup. The mobile layout keeps routine checks close to the Home screen while preserving the dates and totals that matter for attendance follow-up.
Time Off, Benefits, and Request Status
PayClock groups leave-related tasks under a dedicated Time Off tab. Employees can check benefit time, review non-work history, and submit a time-off request with start and end dates, a pay code, daily hours, and an optional note. Keeping these details alongside timecards gives workers a clearer view of attendance and available leave before they send a request.
Request status also feeds into the app's notification area, helping employees see whether a submission is still pending or has been handled. Supervisor accounts can approve or deny requests and review employee benefit balances from the mobile interface. This shared path reduces back-and-forth for common leave questions while keeping decisions connected to the same PayClock Online records used by the workplace.
Mobile Access for Distributed Workforces
The app is suited to organizations with remote staff, field employees, multiple facilities, or teams that alternate between mobile and physical time clocks. Workers can reach Home, Timecard, Time Off, and My Account from a four-tab navigation bar, while account settings provide controls for clock format, displayed totals, vibration, notifications, and sign-in behavior. Help and feedback tools are available from the account area.
Normal workforce use depends on an employer-enabled PayClock Online account, so the app works as part of a company attendance system rather than as a standalone personal timer. When administrators enable mobile geofencing, punches can be restricted to defined work zones. That gives businesses another way to support flexible work locations while applying consistent attendance rules.
