Zone-Based Parking and Session Control
ParkColumbus turns a posted parking zone into a mobile session. Enter the zone number shown on the nearby sign or sticker, choose the vehicle and the amount of time, review the details, and tap Start Parking. A countdown keeps the remaining time visible, so you can see when the session is due to expire while you continue with your trip.
The app is designed for both on-street and off-street locations that support mobile payment. In eligible zones, you can extend a session remotely up to the local maximum instead of returning to the meter. Accurate zone and license-plate details matter because enforcement checks the active payment record against the vehicle information.
Map Search and Parking Reservations
The parking map gives drivers a practical way to look for participating locations before they leave the car. Zone markers identify areas where mobile payment is available, while filters can narrow results by on-street or off-street parking and features such as accessible spaces, EV charging, and valet service. Where availability data is provided, color-coded markers can indicate whether a zone is likely full or has more open spaces, making the first search more efficient.
For garages and lots, the Reserve entry lets you search an area, compare available locations, choose a date and time, and complete a prepaid booking. Reservations appear under Activity, and confirmation instructions explain how to redeem the parking pass when you arrive. Search filters can also narrow reserved locations by practical needs.
Vehicles, Payments, and Parking History
ParkColumbus keeps the details that make repeat parking faster in one account. You can add vehicles with license plates and nicknames, store multiple payment methods, save favorite locations, and review recent transactions from Activity and History. Support for up to five cars is useful for households, rentals, or drivers who regularly switch vehicles. Account settings let you adjust contact details and notification preferences.
Payment choices depend on the parking operator and location, so available methods can differ from one session to another. Checking the selected car, zone, duration, and displayed rate before confirmation helps keep the parking record aligned with the vehicle you left in the space. It also makes receipts and sessions easier to reference when you need to review a charge or document a trip.
Alerts, Directions, and Everyday Columbus Trips
Parking reminders help turn a short visit into a more manageable trip. Notification settings can be adjusted for email, text, and push alerts, giving you a way to receive an expiry reminder instead of relying only on the meter. The active-session area also includes Find My Car, which can guide you back toward the operator-provided location. Saved favorites make frequently used streets and facilities easier to reach again.
Reserved parking adds another useful layer for events, appointments, and downtown plans. A confirmation can include the lot address and turn-by-turn directions to the entrance, while Activity keeps upcoming reservations and past sessions together for easier reference. That combination suits city errands, office visits, stadium trips, and planned evenings.
