The map screen keeps the main journey tools close at hand: a large place search field, a location button, and a route control are paired with quick actions such as Add a Place, Nearby, and Real View. Drivers can also use road information and safety alerts to make decisions before a complicated turn, rather than relying on a generic line between two points.
Nearby Discovery and RealView Exploration
The Explore view helps users move from a map to the places around them. Search can lead to restaurants, coffee shops, parking, pharmacies, banks, malls, events, and other local destinations, while Nearby reduces the effort of scanning the map manually. When a destination is unfamiliar, RealView and augmented-reality directions can add visual context to the last part of the trip.
A place can become more than a one-time search. Users can add a place, review local information, and create trails around favorite stops to share with friends. Mappls Pin and DIGIPIN provide compact ways to represent or exchange precise locations, which is practical when a full street address is awkward to type or explain.
My Saves, Sharing, and Community Reports
Mappls gives regular travelers ways to organize the places they use repeatedly. My Saves is available from the main navigation, and its list workflow is designed for creating collections and adding places; the app asks users to sign in before those list actions can be completed. This makes the feature useful for keeping work destinations, favorite stops, or planned visits together instead of searching from scratch each time.
The app also supports live location sharing with loved ones and community contributions about map, traffic, or smart-city issues. A user can add a place or report conditions such as potholes, waterlogging, or faulty street lights, helping personal route planning connect with broader local information.
Voice Guidance, Safety Alerts, and Daily Driving
For people who prefer to keep their attention on the road, voice-guided directions turn route steps into spoken instructions instead of requiring constant map reading. Mappls can pair that guidance with ETA, traffic updates, speed-breaker and pothole alerts, traffic-camera information, and other road warnings. Junction View adds a three-dimensional look at complex intersections, flyovers, or underpasses so the next maneuver is easier to anticipate.
