Connect an Android Device to Your Computer
Parsec turns an Android phone or tablet into a client for a remote computer. Users sign in, choose a machine linked to their account, and select Connect to open its desktop. This makes it practical to reach a project, check a workstation, or continue a PC game when sitting away from the host.
Android handles the viewing and input side of the session rather than hosting another device. A Windows or macOS computer must remain configured as the host, while the mobile screen receives the live desktop. That clear client-and-host setup is useful for people who want portable access without moving files or duplicating a demanding application on Android.
Stream Desktop Video with Responsive Controls
Parsec is built around interactive desktop streaming rather than static file access. It can decode H.264 and H.265 on Android and switch between screens, helping a remote desktop remain readable and responsive during navigation, media work, or gameplay. The experience depends on the host computer, device decoder, and network quality.
A stable, fast connection gives the stream the best chance to maintain clear motion and low delay. Good 5 GHz Wi-Fi is especially helpful when sending controller or touch input back to the PC. Users can treat the app as a live window into the host, with the desktop continuing to run on the computer while Android handles viewing and control.
Play PC Games from a Phone or Tablet
PC gaming is one of Parsec's strongest mobile use cases. Once a compatible host is available, players can open a game running on the computer and follow it through the Android display. The setup is useful for playing in another room, carrying a session to a tablet, or joining local multiplayer from a distance.
A gamepad designed for Android provides the most practical control option, especially for action that needs consistent buttons and analog input. Controller behavior can vary by device, so the mobile setup works best when players pair supported hardware and use a strong connection. Parsec delivers the PC session; the game itself continues to use the host's processing power and library.
Use Personal Login or Team SSO Access
Parsec organizes remote computers and shared access around an account. Individual users can sign in with email and password, create an account, add a friend, or use the same account on the computer that provides the host session. Available machines then appear with a Connect action, keeping repeat access easy to understand.
Teams can use a separate SAML SSO route based on a Team ID supplied by an administrator. This gives managed users a dedicated sign-in path without mixing team credentials into the personal login form. The two entry points make Parsec useful for home access, remote collaboration, and organization-managed workstations, while keeping the session tied to the appropriate user or team identity.
