Once the panel is arranged, a grid or stack layout keeps the most useful instruments visible together. Controls for orientation, heading reference, decluttering, and display choices help the panel fit a cockpit mount, simulator desk, or study session. Practice Radio Navigation on the Moving Map
The aviation map connects the instrument panel to a visual picture of the flight area. The worldwide aviation database helps users look up airports and navaids, while the flight planner organizes a route before a session. Weather views can provide conditions and forecasts, and live traffic features can add an ADS-B or TCAS-style picture when the required data service is available.
These tools are useful because they connect cockpit indications with decisions made before and during a flight. Pilots can study a route, inspect nearby stations, monitor changing conditions, and keep a more complete situational display without abandoning the instrument panel. Some advanced weather, traffic, database, or service functions may depend on Premium access or network availability.
Connect a Simulator or Review Flight Tracks
The app can work beside a simulator as well as on a real device. fDeck supports connections with X-Plane and Microsoft Flight Simulator, allowing simulator data to drive the Android instruments for a more realistic home-training setup. A configurable grid or stack can sit next to a monitor, while the map and radio-navigation displays mirror the flight context.
After a session, track history can be exported in GPX or KML for review, sharing, or route records. Built-in tutorials provide a gentle starting point for unfamiliar instruments such as ADF, HSI, and VOR.
