For distributed teams, the combined workflow is useful when an update begins as a message, becomes a call, and later needs a full meeting with more participants.

The app connects meetings with tools used to prepare, capture, and continue collaborative work. Zoom Docs can hold shared notes and project material, while Zoom Whiteboard gives teams a visual space for brainstorming and organizing ideas. Permission access is tied to the feature being used. Camera and microphone support video and meeting audio, calendar access can add scheduled events, contacts can assist matching, and notifications can surface chats or upcoming meetings.
