This layout is useful when a simple number is not enough. Users can scan the latest conditions, open the station forecast video, and move directly to more detailed forecast tabs from the same screen. Location-aware weather keeps the dashboard relevant to the selected area, helping people make quick choices about clothing, travel, events, and other daily routines.
Hourly Timing and Multi-Day Planning
Hourly forecasts break the day into specific time slots with temperature, sky conditions, wind direction, and rain chances. That structure makes it easier to judge when clouds may increase, when precipitation is more likely, or whether conditions should remain steady through a commute, appointment, practice, or short outdoor task.
The Daily tab expands the view into a longer planning window. Each day can open into a fuller forecast with highs and lows, storm probability, written daytime and nighttime details, sunrise and sunset, moon phase, and UV information. Together, the two forecast views support both near-term timing and broader decisions about the days ahead without making users search through unrelated screens.
Radar Movement and Traffic Map Checks
The Radar tab provides a map-centered way to follow precipitation and severe weather movement around Richmond and nearby areas. Users can work with radar animation and map layers, including future-radar and cloud views, to understand where weather is developing and how it may approach a chosen location.
