Nearby results use device location, while the search and regional lists offer another route to a forecast. Once a location is selected, surfers can compare upcoming conditions instead of relying on one current reading. This structure works well for home breaks, weekend travel, or checking several coastal areas before deciding where to go.
Wave, Wind, Tide, and Weather Details
Each location brings together the ocean and weather variables that influence a surf session. Users can review surf height, swell components, wind direction and speed, tides, air and ocean temperature, sunrise, and sunset information. Basic and detailed forecast layouts help different users choose between a quick summary and a denser view of conditions across the day.

Favorites, Alerts, and Forecast Preferences
Favorite locations give returning users a shorter path to the regions they check most often. After signing in, users can save locations and return to them from the Favorites tab instead of repeating the regional search. Custom surf alerts can also watch selected locations and notify users when forecast conditions meet chosen thresholds.
Alert controls can use minimum and maximum wave height, condition quality, and the desired number of days of notice. Account preferences let users adjust timeline scale and units for wind speed, wave height, tide height, and temperature. Together, saved locations, alerts, and unit controls make the app more useful as a recurring planning tool rather than a one-time forecast lookup.
