Account Balances and Everyday Banking
Wells Fargo Mobile brings cash, credit, and eligible investment accounts into a single account-management view. After signing in, customers can review balances, recent activity, account details, and credit card transactions without moving between separate banking services. This makes the app useful for quick balance checks as well as closer review of day-to-day spending.
Account tools extend beyond viewing information. Customers can open eligible accounts, manage rewards, and use Card Settings to activate a card, turn it on or off, review recurring payments, or add supported cards to a digital wallet. Those controls help users respond quickly when a card is misplaced or when they need to check how an account is being used.
Transfers, Bills, and Zelle Payments
Moving money is a central Wells Fargo Mobile workflow. Customers can transfer funds between Wells Fargo accounts, set up transfers to eligible accounts at other U.S. financial institutions, and pay bills from an Android device. The app keeps these common payment tasks close to the same account information used to confirm balances and recent activity.
Zelle adds person-to-person payments for enrolled users who need to send or receive money with people they know and trust. A U.S. mobile number or email address can identify the recipient, while enrollment and eligible U.S. checking or savings accounts are required. This combination suits household reimbursements, shared expenses, and other familiar payments where the sender has verified the recipient.
Mobile Check Deposit and Card Controls
Mobile check deposit lets eligible customers handle a paper check without visiting a branch or ATM. The user selects an eligible deposit account, enters the amount, and photographs the check with the Android camera. Once submitted, the processing deposit can be viewed in the account, making it easier to keep track of a check while it moves through review.
Eligibility, deposit limits, and other restrictions can vary by account, so the app presents mobile deposit as a guided banking task rather than a universal replacement for every check. Card controls complement that workflow by giving customers a practical place to manage supported cards, recurring payments, and digital-wallet access alongside their wider account activity.
Alerts, Biometric Sign-On, and Fargo Help
Account alerts help customers follow balance changes, recent transactions, payments, transfers, security events, and one-time authentication codes. Push notifications can deliver selected messages to an Android phone, while the in-app Message Center provides another place to review communications. Users can manage which alerts they receive and should keep notification settings aligned with how privately they use the device.
On supported Android phones, fingerprint or other eligible biometric sign-on can shorten repeat access after setup. Fargo, the app's virtual assistant, can also answer everyday banking questions and guide users toward relevant tasks. Together, sign-on options, alerts, and guided help make the app practical for customers who want faster access without losing control of account communication.
