Volunteer Schedules and Open Shifts
VicNet places volunteer scheduling at the center of its mobile workflow. Members can check upcoming assignments, review open schedule positions, and sign up for shifts that fit their availability when their organization enables self-scheduling. Calendar and list views make it easier to focus on either a specific date or a practical list of commitments.
Schedule filters help narrow openings by assignment, while conflict information can prevent overlapping selections. Volunteers may also remove themselves from eligible shifts, flag times when they cannot serve, or add an individual schedule entry to a personal calendar. These controls keep routine planning close to the organization’s live volunteer schedule.
Service Hours and Progress Records
Service tracking gives volunteers a clear place to review what they have contributed over time. VicNet can display past service information and hour totals, and organizations may allow members to post new service entries from the portal. This is useful after an unscheduled activity or whenever hours are not captured through an on-site time clock.
Members working toward a required service total can also check their progress without requesting a separate report. Available fields and posting rules depend on how each organization configures Volgistics, so the form may include different assignments, dates, times, or service measures. Keeping these records together helps volunteers maintain an accurate contribution history.
Organization Messages and Profile Updates
VicNet brings organization communication into the same portal used for schedules and service records. Volunteers can receive news, reminders, and direct messages, reducing the chance that a schedule change or important update is lost among unrelated email. Message preferences may also be available for choosing which notices arrive by email or text.
Profile tools let members keep contact information such as an address, phone number, and email current. The Account area can include password management and communication preferences, while participating organizations may expose additional profile fields that matter to their programs. These self-service controls give coordinators more reliable details and let volunteers handle routine updates themselves.
Secure Access for Volunteers and Coordinators
VicNet is intended for people already connected to an organization that uses the Volgistics platform. Volunteers sign in with the email address and password linked to their organization record, then choose the relevant organization when an address is associated with more than one account. A Password Reset option helps users create or recover access when the email matches a stored record.
Organizations can configure the portal differently, so available pages and actions may vary. Coordinators may receive access to volunteer information and schedule tools for the assignments they oversee, while standard volunteers see their own schedule, service, messages, and profile options. This organization-specific setup keeps everyday tasks within the correct program context.
