Race Monitor centers on a directory of current and upcoming motorsport events, giving racers, crews, and spectators a quick way to see what is running and when. Each listing can show the event name, track, schedule, and LIVE status, so users can move from browsing the directory into timing coverage without searching separate track websites.
Inside supported events, the app presents lap times as they arrive and can organize competitors by category when multiple classes share a session. Sorting by race position or qualifying position helps users focus on the order that matters for the session, whether they are following from the pits, grandstands, or away from the venue.
Race Results and Followed Events
Race results give Race Monitor value after the live session has ended. Users can open the results area to revisit watched events, browse recent finishes, search for a particular race, or return to favorites, which makes the app useful for checking an event without having followed every lap in real time.
Following tools reduce the effort of finding the same race or competitor again. Races can be added to favorites from their information or results screens, while a long press exposes additional options in relevant lists. Favorite racers can also be found through their stored transponder number and last name, helping regular spectators and teams build a more focused results workflow.
Racing Categories and Direct Connections
The side menu separates the directory into practical racing sections, including road racing, oval racing, dirt oval, paved oval, kart racing, motorcycle racing, active sports, and remote control events. This structure helps users narrow a large schedule to the discipline they care about instead of scanning every available race.
At venues that provide a local RMonitor feed, Direct Connection offers another route into timing data. Users join the same network as the track server, open Direct Connection, and enter the IP address and port supplied by the venue. That option is particularly useful at circuits using MyLaps, Westhold, Trackside, TAG Heuer, or MotoSponder-compatible timing systems.
Trackside Viewing and Racer Alerts
Race Monitor supports both remote viewing and trackside use. Internet-relayed events can be opened from the race directory, while local feeds can serve spectators, teams, and drivers connected to a venue network. Current and upcoming listings make it easier to plan around session times, and following tools keep frequently watched races within reach.
Optional Race Monitor Plus features add a racer-focused Heads Up Display with historical lap times and Racer Alerts for followed competitors. Alerts can help a crew or spectator notice when a selected racer goes on track, while the display provides more context around recent laps. These extras suit users who follow the same drivers across multiple sessions and want faster access to relevant timing information.
