A map view also gives the list geographic context, helping someone compare saved cafés, photo spots, trailheads, shops, or parking locations at a glance.
Each pin can be shared when another person needs the location, while the list stays focused on places the user deliberately saved. Sync Pins and Return with Google Maps
Google sign-in is optional at the entry screen, so users can continue without an account when they only need a local place list. Signing in adds cloud sync, and a status indicator in the top bar helps show when saved places are connected across supported phones and tablets.
When it is time to return, a pin can open in Google Maps for directions instead of asking users to reconstruct the route from memory. The account and map handoff features make PinDrop useful for travelers or anyone who switches devices, while guest access keeps the first saving task simple for people who prefer not to sign in immediately.

The free experience provides a small number of saves for trying the main location workflow, while PinDrop Pro expands the service to unlimited saved places and cross-device cloud sync. The plan screen separates the current free status from the upgrade option, so users can see which level they are using before deciding whether the extra capacity fits their routine.
Pro also includes Trips for grouping pins around a journey and Auto-Archive for moving older entries out of the main list after a chosen period. These management tools suit frequent travelers and long-term users who collect many locations, while occasional users can stay with the focused capture-and-return workflow.
