Employee Self-Service for Payroll and HR
Paycom brings everyday payroll and HR tasks into an employee-controlled workspace. Depending on an employer's setup, users can review pay information, access pay stubs and tax documents, update personal details, manage benefits, and check workplace communications without waiting for a separate desktop session.
The Employee Self-Service login supports a standard username, password, and identity check, while single sign-on offers another route for organizations that configure it. After authentication, connected information stays within the same workforce system, helping employees handle routine records, payroll questions, and benefit tasks from a consistent account. Where enabled, IWant also retrieves workplace data through voice or text requests instead of requiring a menu search.
Time Tracking, Schedules, and Time Off
Time management tools help employees follow the workday from their phones. Available options can include clocking in or out, submitting time for approval, checking accruals, requesting time off, viewing schedules, swapping shifts, and picking up open hours when an employer enables those workflows.
These tasks link personal availability with workplace approval processes, so schedule changes and leave requests do not have to remain in separate messages or paper forms. Because each organization controls its own configuration, the exact buttons and time-clock rules may differ, but the mobile workflow is designed to keep common attendance tasks close to payroll and employee records.
Expenses, Learning, and Employee Records
Paycom also supports recurring work tasks beyond pay and scheduling. Employees can upload receipt photos for reimbursement, follow the status of submitted expenses, record eligible business mileage, complete assigned courses, and work through learning paths from a phone or tablet when those modules are active.
New hires may use guided onboarding steps for personal information, direct deposit, benefits, introductory training, and organizational details. Bringing these records into one account reduces the need to re-enter the same information across disconnected tools and gives employees a practical place to return for documents, training, reimbursements, and other ongoing HR responsibilities. This shared workspace can keep routine employee records available throughout onboarding and later workplace changes.
Manager on-the-Go Approvals and Team Tasks
Supervisors can switch from Employee Self-Service to Manager on-the-Go when their account includes management access. The mobile manager area can support timecard decisions, time-off approvals, expense reviews, schedule changes, personnel actions, applicant follow-up, and quick access to employee or team information while a manager is away from a desk.
Keeping employee and manager roles in one app reduces extra sign-ins and makes pending requests easier to address during the workday. Available controls still depend on company permissions, so managers see the workflows assigned to their role rather than a universal menu. This setup is useful for supervisors who need to keep approvals moving across shifts, meetings, or field work.
