Pathbuilder 2e turns Pathfinder Second Edition character creation into a guided planning workflow. Start a new character, choose an ancestry, background, class, and the rules content allowed for the campaign, then move through ability boosts, skills, feats, and equipment without losing the build’s overall shape.
The opening flow lets players include Adventure Path content or choose Core Only for a focused set of remastered core books. That choice keeps the first decisions manageable while leaving room to re-enable broader options later. Track Level-Based Character Choices
Level-based planning is where the builder becomes a useful rules reference. The character view gathers ancestry, background, class, heritage, class feat, skill training, and ability-boost choices around the character’s current level, so players can see what still needs attention before a session.

Pathbuilder 2e can function as a digital character sheet after the planning work is done. The build view keeps the character name, ancestry, background, class, defenses, attacks, equipment, and other play information in one place, while separate Build, About, Defense, Offense, and Gear areas make table-time checks easier.
A character can be reviewed at the level where it currently plays rather than reduced to a short list of creation choices. That makes the app useful during combat preparation, exploration, and routine updates when a player needs a quick reminder of what the character can do during a busy tabletop session.
Export and Organize Campaign Builds
Finished characters remain useful beyond the creation screen. Pathbuilder 2e supports PDF character-sheet export, giving players a portable version of a build for a game night, a campaign folder, or a conversation with a Game Master. The app itself can still serve as the live reference when choices need to be checked or changed.
The More entry on the opening screen provides a route to additional controls, while the separate Pathbuilder 2e and Starbuilder 2e entries help keep related character-building work distinct.
