Connect to Your Organization’s ServiceNow Instance
Now Mobile starts by connecting to the ServiceNow URL used by an employer. Users can type the instance address, add an optional nickname, or scan a QR code when their organization provides one. This connection step keeps workplace content tied to the correct company environment instead of presenting a generic public workspace.
A demo-account link offers a way to explore a curated experience before using company credentials. For normal organizational use, the instance determines which departments, services, and pages appear, so two employers may offer different menus or workflows. This configuration makes the app useful for distributed teams while preserving each organization’s own service catalog and branding.
Submit Requests and Find Workplace Answers
Now Mobile turns common employee service needs into guided mobile workflows. Employees can seek help for IT issues, request equipment or password assistance, check HR policies, arrange workplace services, and start other requests made available by their organization. Global search and knowledge content help users find an answer before creating a new ticket.
Submitted requests remain connected to the company’s ServiceNow processes, allowing different departments to handle work behind the scenes. That matters when a single need crosses IT, facilities, finance, HR, or legal teams. Instead of learning which internal group owns a request, employees can begin with the service or answer they need and let the configured workflow route it.
Manage Tasks, Requests, and Company Assets
The Home area can bring together tasks, requests, assets, assessments, and surveys assigned to an employee. Users can open work items, review current status, complete available actions, and return to requests they created earlier. Asset records can also support viewing company hardware or software information and reporting a related issue.
This mobile task view is especially practical for approvals, follow-ups, and quick updates away from a desk. What appears depends on the connected ServiceNow instance and the access granted by the employer, so the app acts as a flexible front end rather than a fixed checklist. Organizations can also extend the base experience with additional services and role-specific screens.
Receive Updates and Adjust Mobile Preferences
Notifications give users a dedicated place to follow updates that also appear in the ServiceNow web experience. Depending on company configuration, alerts can surface task changes, request progress, or other workplace actions that need attention. Image and file attachments can be added to supported records, helping employees provide context without returning to a computer.
The settings area can include notification controls, language, security options, themes, analytics preferences, legal information, and feedback. Some deployments may also enable offline cache, biometric or PIN access, location-related workflows, or multiple connected instances. These controls let employees shape the app around their device and workplace rules while keeping routine service activity close at hand.
