Campus Updates and Personalised Alerts
MyNCC turns a college dashboard into a practical daily starting point for news, events, urgent messages, and reminders. Staff and students can keep up with information tailored to their campus and course instead of searching through separate notices, making the app useful between classes, during a shift, or when a deadline is approaching.
Alerts add a timely layer to the dashboard, while campus-specific updates keep the information relevant to the learner or staff member using it. The layout is designed to bring important messages forward without losing the broader college context, so users can scan what matters now and return later to plan the next task.
Email, Timetables, and Calendar Planning
The planning side of MyNCC gathers college email, timetables, Outlook Calendar, and tasks in one place. Students can check where they need to be, review upcoming commitments, and keep assignment deadlines visible alongside the rest of their schedule. Staff can use the same central view to stay connected with day-to-day college information.
This joined-up approach is helpful when study, work, and personal planning compete for attention. Course-related deadlines can sit beside calendar entries and messages, reducing the need to move between unrelated systems. With email available from the home dashboard, important college communication remains close to the schedule it belongs to.
Attendance, Progress, and Course Support
MyNCC links academic administration with the information students need to keep moving through a course. The attendance area helps users follow punctuality and attendance, while ProPortal provides routes for reporting an absence, reviewing progress, checking meetings, viewing student information, and following SMART Targets throughout the academic year.
The virtual learning environment adds access to course materials, work submission, and wider support services. Keeping these destinations close to the dashboard makes a recurring task easier to find: check a deadline, review progress, respond to an attendance need, or continue toward the right learning resource without losing the rest of the day's updates.
Connected College Services on Mobile
The app works as a gateway to the college systems that support study and campus life. Alongside the personalised dashboard, users can open Office 365, the virtual learning environment, ProPortal, college email, and other essential links from a mobile device. This gives staff and students a familiar route into services they already need rather than a collection of disconnected destinations.
A service-focused home screen is especially useful when moving between campus, home, and different study locations. News, messages, schedules, and linked tools remain grouped around the New City College context, while dynamic tiles and a customisable front-page layout can make frequently used information easier to reach where those options are enabled.
