Storage Dashboard and File Categories
My Files opens with a storage dashboard that summarizes internal storage use and gives users large category shortcuts. Images, Videos, Music, Documents, Downloads, Apps, Compression, and Large Files are separated so common cleanup and browsing tasks are easier to start.
Recent files appear below the category grid, which helps users return to newly created recordings, pictures, documents, or downloads. This is useful when a user wants a file manager that starts from practical destinations rather than a blank folder path.
Navigation Drawer and Quick Tools
The side drawer adds shortcuts for Home, Bookmarks, Network, Recycle Bin, Settings, Language, Rate us, About us, and Help. These entries make the app more useful for repeated file work because users can jump between saved locations, recovery-style areas, and configuration screens.
For users who manage files often, that drawer keeps common destinations close to the main browser. It reduces the need to search through Android's broader settings or multiple storage screens for everyday file tasks.
This gives the section a clearer user value by connecting the main feature to a concrete mobile use case, session goal, or replay reason.
Media Access and Advanced File Control
My Files is designed for local storage control, so it can work with music, photos, videos, downloads, app folders, compressed files, and larger storage items. The visible flow also connects file access with Android media permissions and all-files access for fuller browsing.
That power is useful for organization, but it should be used carefully. Users should avoid changing unfamiliar folders and grant only the access needed for browsing, cleanup, or file movement.
