Audio options add surround-sound configuration and system equalizer support, while the client supports H.264, HEVC, and AV1 streams when the host and hardware are suitable. HDR, high frame rates, and 7.1 audio are aimed at capable setups; a strong 5 GHz wireless link and Ethernet connection to the PC help keep play smooth.
Gamepad, Keyboard, and Mouse Control
Moonlight treats the Android device as a flexible controller endpoint. It supports common PlayStation, Xbox, and Android gamepads, local co-op with multiple controllers, keyboard and mouse input, stylus input, and motion or force-feedback features on compatible hardware. The settings give players room to adapt controls to the way they actually play.
The controller tools are unusually practical for a streaming client. Users can adjust analog-stick deadzones, force a gamepad to stay present, enable an Xbox USB driver, switch into mouse mode by holding Start, scroll with an analog stick, or emulate rumble through device vibration. These options make a phone or handheld easier to fit into different games.

Moonlight is not limited to a launcher full of games. A host can expose individual programs or the complete desktop, letting users open creative tools, browse files, or control a Windows session from an Android screen. Touch input covers quick navigation, while a connected controller, keyboard, or mouse can take over when a task needs precision.
