Browse Departments and Search Products
Macy's brings its department-store catalog into a mobile shopping flow built around search and category browsing. Users can look for a specific product from the search bar or move through departments such as Women, Men, Kids, Home, and Beauty. This makes the app useful for both targeted purchases and open-ended browsing across clothing, accessories, cosmetics, gifts, and household items.
The bottom navigation keeps Home and Shop close at hand, so moving between recommendations, departments, and product discovery does not require restarting the session. Product availability, current offers, color choices, and pickup options can help narrow a purchase before an item reaches the bag, whether the shopper plans to order online or visit a nearby Macy's store.
Save Favorites and Follow Offers
Favorites give shoppers a practical place to collect products they may want to compare or revisit later. Instead of searching for the same style again, users can keep preferred clothing, beauty products, home items, or gifts together while deciding between colors, sizes, prices, and seasonal offers. The feature fits longer shopping decisions as well as quick wish-list building.
Macy's connects saved shopping with Star Rewards and account sign-in, allowing returning customers to organize preferences around their profile. Deal alerts, rotating promotions, personalized recommendations, and price-related notifications can add context to saved items when those services are enabled. This combination is especially useful for shoppers who wait for an offer before completing a purchase or who plan several items across different departments.
Build a Bag and Choose Fulfillment
The Bag area gathers selected products, quantities, and order value before checkout. Shoppers can continue browsing, review what they have chosen, and use available delivery or store-pickup options where a product supports them. The app also surfaces trending products near an empty bag, providing another route back into shopping without losing access to the main navigation.
Signing in connects the bag to an existing Macy's account, which is helpful for saved addresses, order history, eligible offers, and rewards. In-store inventory access can support pickup planning, while price scanning and Macy's Pay are designed for visits to a physical store. Together, these tools let users move between online ordering and store-based shopping from the same Android app.
Manage Orders, Rewards, and Registries
The Account area extends the app beyond product discovery. Users can track packages, begin eligible returns, set a preferred store, manage a profile and address book, and adjust app, text, or email communication preferences. Macy's Card customers can also reach balance and payment tools, while Wallet and Macy's Pay bring offers, rewards, and supported payment details into the shopping process.
Star Rewards membership adds points, Star Money, member offers, and status-related benefits for signed-in shoppers. Registry controls provide separate paths to create, manage, find, or shop a gift registry, making the app useful for weddings and other events. Privacy practices, privacy settings, and personal-information choices are also accessible from the account controls for users who want to review data preferences.
