Wireless Scarlett Input Control
Focusrite Control 2 turns a phone or tablet into a remote input panel for compatible Focusrite interfaces. After the mobile app is paired with Focusrite Control 2 on a computer, a musician can adjust preamp gain from the recording position instead of walking back to the desk. The Inputs view keeps each analogue channel in its own card, with a large gain dial, level meter, and quick controls such as Auto Gain, +48V, Inst, Safe, and Air.
That layout suits solo vocals, instruments, and multi-mic sessions where a small adjustment can interrupt concentration. The welcome flow also offers Explore demo, so users can inspect the control layout and virtual hardware before connecting a real interface.
Mixer Faders for Personal Headphone Mixes
The Mixer view is built for shaping what performers hear while a session is running. Channel strips expose faders, pan positions, live meters, and Mute or Solo buttons, while the routing line at the top clarifies which outputs receive the selected mix. This lets an engineer balance computer playback and input channels without leaving the listening position.
For a group session, separate headphone mixes can be tailored to each musician's needs. Version 1.15.0 also adds level and mute control for Mix buses, making a bus-level change possible with a single fader. The result is a practical touch workflow for rehearsals, overdubs, livestream preparation, and any setup where quick changes matter more than a full desktop workspace.
Monitoring Views and Output Control
Monitoring gives the mobile controller a dedicated view for the final listening path. A Main outputs panel provides Main and Alt choices, a large output dial, a level meter, and Mute or Dim controls, so the engineer can check loudness and switch monitoring behavior without searching through the mixer. The app keeps the controls readable on a tall phone display while leaving the active meter visible beside the dial.
This is useful when speakers and headphones need different attention during recording or playback. Direct monitoring and customizable headphone mixes are part of Focusrite Control 2's studio workflow, helping performers hear a suitable balance with less distraction and fewer trips to the computer.

Focusrite Control 2 is designed around a paired desktop-and-mobile workflow rather than a standalone hardware controller. A phone or tablet joins the computer running Focusrite Control 2 on the same network, then the mobile interface provides a convenient position for level and mix adjustments around the room. That arrangement makes sense for engineers recording themselves, musicians moving between instruments, and small rooms where the computer is not next to the microphone.
The Explore demo makes the app easier to understand before setup: users can choose virtual products such as ISA C8X, Solo, 2i2, 4i4, or 16i16 and browse the same Inputs, Mixer, and Monitoring navigation. It helps new owners learn the main controls before a session.
