Vehicle Inspections and Issue Reporting
Vehicle inspections are a central Fleetio Go workflow for drivers who need to document pre-trip and post-trip conditions without paper forms. Staff can open an assigned vehicle, complete a digital inspection, add readings or notes, and report a problem from the field so maintenance teams receive actionable information sooner.
Inspection records connect everyday checks with the wider maintenance process. Failed items can lead into issue records, while photos, comments, and signatures help explain what a driver found. Inspection duration and upload status give managers clearer context, and offline inspection support lets field teams keep working in poor-signal locations before syncing pending submissions when a connection returns.
Fuel, Meter, and Asset Updates
Fleetio Go turns a phone or tablet into a quick entry point for routine vehicle records. From a vehicle profile or Quick Add menu, users can log fuel, update meter readings, create service entries, add comments, and record inspections or issues without waiting to return to a computer.
Barcode scanning can help staff locate the correct vehicle or equipment before making an update, reducing time spent searching large asset lists. Recent vehicles and Browse navigation also make repeat tasks easier for drivers who touch the same units each shift. These tools keep fuel, usage, and condition records tied to the right asset, giving managers a more current operating history.
Maintenance Work Orders on the Move
Maintenance staff can use Fleetio Go to review service history, resolve reminders, and work with digital work orders while they are near the vehicle. Technicians can add or edit work, connect service tasks and issues, and record the details needed to show what was completed.
Reminders and notifications help teams respond to due work before it becomes overdue, while comments and mentions keep drivers, managers, and technicians aligned on an asset's status. When outside repair is needed, the app can help users find nearby providers from Fleetio's repair network. This mobile workflow brings inspection findings, reported issues, and maintenance actions into one connected record instead of separate paper trails.
Team Access and Offline Field Work
Fleetio Go is designed for organizations that already manage users and vehicles in Fleetio. Team members can sign in with an email or username and password, Google, or SAML-based company access, allowing administrators to match mobile use with existing account controls.
Once signed in, the home screen can surface recent vehicles and relevant shortcuts, while Browse provides access to records such as vehicles, fuel entries, service entries, and inspections. Offline inspections extend the app to yards, garages, and remote locations with weak connectivity; pending inspection uploads sync after service returns. The result is a practical field companion for coordinated fleet work, not a standalone personal car tracker.
