The layout is useful for phones that hold work files, downloaded forms, and media in several folders.
Broad coverage for mixed file types
One Android app can handle documents, ebooks, media, raw images, and compressed archives across a broad format list. PDF, Office, EPUB, MOBI, RTF, ZIP, RAR, 7z, and other file types follow the same browse-and-open path, reducing the need to switch utilities when a shared file uses an uncommon extension.
Conversion and inspection after opening
File Viewer adds practical actions after opening a file. Supported Word and PowerPoint documents can be converted to PDF, while metadata, MD5, and EXIF views help users inspect what they have. In 5.1.1, RTF and password-protected Office document support extend that workflow for more kinds of shared documents.
