Daily FICO Score and Credit Report Review
CreditWise brings a TransUnion-based FICO Score 8 and TransUnion credit report into a mobile dashboard for users who want to follow credit health without requesting a hard inquiry. Score information can refresh as frequently as daily when sufficient TransUnion data is available, making it easier to notice changes instead of waiting for a lender application.
The report view helps organize accounts, inquiries, personal information, and other items that can affect a credit profile. Score-factor breakdowns explain areas such as payment history, credit usage, account age, and recent inquiries, so users can connect a number on the screen with the habits and records behind it.
Credit Changes and Dark Web Alerts
CreditWise watches for selected activity across TransUnion and Experian credit reports, including new inquiries, delinquent accounts, unfamiliar names or addresses, and other noteworthy changes. Alerts place potentially important activity in a dedicated flow, helping users review what changed and decide more promptly whether it matches something they did.
The app also checks for an email address or Social Security number detected on the dark web. When a match appears, users can open the notice and review suggested next steps. This combination supports routine credit monitoring and identity awareness, although alert availability depends on matching enrollment details to an eligible credit file.
Credit Simulator for Planned Decisions
The Credit Simulator lets users explore how possible actions might influence a future FICO Score 8 before making a real financial decision. Scenarios can include paying down card balances, making on-time payments over several months, changing a credit limit, opening or closing a card, or adding a mortgage, auto loan, or personal loan.
Each estimate uses information from the user's TransUnion credit report to model a possible result. It is a planning aid rather than a guarantee, but it can turn broad credit advice into concrete comparisons. Users can test alternatives and better understand how utilization, payment history, new accounts, and inquiries interact.
Enrollment, Profile Matching, and Secure Access
New users can create a CreditWise profile even when they are not Capital One customers, while existing Capital One customers can use their current credentials. Enrollment collects basic personal details, contact information, and identity-confirmation data so the service can match the user to a TransUnion credit file and protect access to sensitive credit information.
The Android flow guides users through name, email address, and U.S. phone-number steps before account access. Eligible users must be at least 18, live in the United States, have a Social Security number, and have a matching TransUnion file. After setup, biometric login can make repeat access faster on supported devices.
