The guide keeps both situations organized without requiring viewers to search each network separately.
On Demand Browsing and Playback
Browse gives viewers a structured way to explore On Demand and live programming by TV, movies, sports, networks, kids and family, news, and Latino programming. Program pages can show episode or movie details, viewing choices, future airings, and related titles, so users can move from discovery to playback without leaving the app. Content availability follows the channels and services included in the customer’s plan.
When a title is available, viewers can play it live or On Demand and use playback options such as closed captions, audio description, or secondary audio where supported. This makes Xfinity Stream useful for a movie, live event, or catching up on a series. Categories reduce the effort of scanning a full channel grid when the viewer already knows the type of program they want.
Cloud DVR Downloads and My Library
Cloud DVR support turns My Library into more than a list of recently watched programs. Eligible customers can review completed recordings, check scheduled recordings, open favorites and purchases, or choose a recording to watch. Record options help users manage future episodes or remove material they no longer need, keeping one library available across supported Xfinity screens.
Selected DVR recordings and On Demand programs can also be downloaded to the Android device for offline viewing. Downloads appear in their own library area, where a saved episode can be opened without an active connection and later returned or removed. This workflow is useful before a flight, commute, or trip, although download rights vary by title and plan. Storage space and account eligibility still determine what can be kept locally.
