Layered Weather Maps for Any Location
Ventusky turns weather data into a navigable map rather than a single number on a card. Search for a place or move around the global view, then select layers such as temperature, precipitation, wind, pressure, radar, satellite, or air quality. Flowing wind marks, fronts, color gradients, and map labels help you see how conditions are distributed across a region.
The lower timeline lets you step through upcoming hours and days while the location panel keeps a selected place in focus. This makes the map useful for a morning commute, a hike, a trip, or a quick look at changing conditions around home without switching between separate screens.
Forecast Charts and Model Comparisons
Forecast charts add detail when a colored map is not enough. Choose a city on the map to open its forecast, then move across hourly and daily columns to compare temperature, precipitation, wind, and other parameters. The 55.1 release also lists more than 40 chart parameters, so the same location can be examined from practical or professional angles.
Ventusky combines multiple weather models and lets users compare model output instead of relying on one unexplained number. Forecast tables, selectable layers, and model controls help travelers, sailors, pilots, gardeners, and curious weather watchers decide which trend matters for the next task.
Storm, Hurricane, and Outdoor Planning Tools
Ventusky gives severe-weather planning its own visual workflow. Hurricane tracking can show storm intensity and a forecast cone, while radar, lightning information, weather fronts, and satellite layers help you follow a developing system across the map. City forecasts and webcam coverage add local context when a broad warning needs a closer look.
Custom notifications can be configured for conditions such as wind, waves, freezing rain, pressure, lightning, or a daily summary. Runners, cyclists, hikers, travelers, and families can use these views to adjust a route or schedule, while experienced users can compare storm movement and weather parameters across a wider area.
Personal Controls, Widgets, and Premium Layers
The app keeps frequent decisions close to the map. A first-run unit panel lets you choose temperature and wind-speed units, while Settings exposes model configuration, a model switcher, notifications, saved-account access, and map-related preferences. Custom border colors and wind-direction display options make dense weather layers easier to read.
Widgets can surface forecasts, radar, or webcams without opening the full map, and Wear OS support extends forecast and radar views to a watch. Premium layers add deeper parameters and longer-range detail for users who need more than the everyday view, while the basic map remains approachable for quick checks every day.
