Discover Restaurants and Dining Experiences
Tock brings restaurant discovery and booking into one browsing experience. Users can look through neighborhood venues, destination restaurants, wineries, bars, pop-ups, and other hospitality businesses, then open a business page to understand what is available. Curated collections, city-based browsing, and popular or seasonal searches make it easier to plan beyond a familiar shortlist.
Business pages can present more than standard table reservations. A venue may highlight a chef’s counter, tasting menu, special event, wine experience, or another limited offering alongside its regular service. Saving and sharing favorites gives diners a practical way to compare options with friends before choosing where to book.
Choose Dates, Times, and Offerings
The booking flow is built around the details that matter for a visit: business, offering, party size, date, and time. Users can open a venue, choose an available reservation or experience, and move through the listed options without contacting each business separately. Calendar-based browsing is useful when the date matters more than a particular restaurant.
Availability and booking rules remain specific to each participating business. Some pages may offer ordinary reservations, events, pickup, or delivery, while others organize access around a particular dining experience. Reviewing the included details and venue policy before confirming helps users understand the selected time, party size, and any conditions attached to the booking.
Save Favorites and Manage Reservations
An account gives frequent diners a home for businesses they want to revisit and plans they have already made. Favorites can keep promising restaurants close at hand, while upcoming reservation details make it easier to check the venue, date, time, and party information before leaving. Sharing a saved place also helps a group decide together.
Reservation changes depend on the policy configured by the business and the type of offering. When enabled, users may be able to cancel, reschedule, or transfer an eligible booking from their reservation controls. Checking the modification window and refund terms first is important, especially for events or experiences with limited availability.
Notify Lists and Walk-In Waitlists
Notify helps diners follow sold-out experiences without repeatedly refreshing a business page. At participating venues, users can request an alert for a preferred experience, party size, date, and time range. When matching availability opens, Tock can send an email or push notification so the user can return to the booking flow.
A notification does not reserve or hold the table; availability must still be selected and confirmed before another guest books it. Some supported business pages also provide an online walk-in waitlist, letting diners join before arrival and receive status communication. These tools are useful for high-demand restaurants and flexible plans, but their availability varies by business.
