Daily Batches and Mutual Matches
The League replaces an endless profile feed with a small, curated Batch delivered around Happy Hour. Members review each prospect, tap the Heart when interested, or use X to pass. Recommendations take both people's preferences into account, so the daily routine emphasizes focused decisions instead of constant swiping. The number of profiles can vary by region, preferences, and membership tier.
A match forms when two members Heart each other, and the conversation moves into the Matches tab. Either person can send the first message, while unanswered profiles may return in a later Batch. This compact loop suits busy daters who want a predictable time to evaluate compatible prospects and follow up on mutual interest.
Profiles, Preferences, and Waitlist Progress
New members create a profile with photos, an About Me bio, interests, goals, and short prompts before submitting an application. The League uses a Waitlist and verification process to maintain an active community, with LinkedIn, workplace email, education email, or Doximity available as verification methods. Members can continue improving profile details while their application is under review.
Preference controls cover age, distance, gender, ethnicity, religion, and height, while extra filters depend on the membership tier. Account settings also let users update photos, location, bio, interests, profession, and education within the applicable limits. Together, these tools make profile quality and dating priorities part of the matching process rather than an afterthought.
Messaging and Video Dating
After a mutual match, members can open the Matches tab and start a conversation without waiting for one side to make the first move. The built-in messaging flow keeps introductions tied to a specific profile, while one-to-one video chat lets both people talk before exchanging phone numbers or arranging an in-person date. This gives users a practical way to assess chemistry beyond photos and text.
Video profiles add a short moving introduction to the standard photo carousel, helping personality come through more clearly. League Live expands the format into brief scheduled video dates with several nearby prospects, turning a short session into multiple introductions. These options are useful for busy singles who want a faster bridge from matching to a real conversation.
Concierge Help and Member Tools
The Concierge offers profile guidance, opener suggestions, feedback, and dating advice through chat. Human-supported replies are tied to Unlimited and Omni memberships, while automated tips or profile insights may appear for other members in selected markets. Suggestions can focus on photo variety, bios, or preferences, and users choose whether to apply them.
Membership tools provide additional ways to manage visibility and discovery. Search adds filters and extra daily likes, while League Tickets support Power Moves that place a profile earlier in another member's Batch or Boosts that increase exposure. Premium tiers can also reveal more incoming likes, add profile controls, show stats, and provide faster Waitlist access, giving active users more control over pace and reach.
