After registering and adding a loved one, users can choose Text Letter, write a message, and include photos that help share everyday events, family updates, or encouragement. Bringing the writing and attachment steps together on a phone makes it easier to prepare correspondence without paper, envelopes, stamps, or a separate photo-printing trip.
The home screen keeps Create New Account, Login, and How TextBehind Works close to the main navigation, while the order menu presents Text Letter as the first communication choice. This arrangement gives returning users a direct route into a new letter and gives newcomers a clear explanation before they begin.
TextCards, Doodles, and Documents
Different moments call for more than a standard letter, so TextBehind groups several communication formats in the same order menu. TextCards let users combine a greeting-card cover with a message and photos for birthdays, holidays, or other occasions. Doodles4Kids gives children a full-page drawing option, while General Documents supports longer material that needs a page-style format.
These choices help families match the message to the occasion instead of forcing every update into the same layout. A quick note can remain a Text Letter, a celebration can use a themed card, and a child can contribute a drawing of their own. Keeping each format in one app also makes it easier to return and prepare another type of communication later.
Contacts, Transactions, and Electronic Replies
TextBehind uses contacts and transaction records to organize ongoing correspondence. Users add an incarcerated loved one as a contact, choose that recipient when creating a communication, and can return to transaction history to follow earlier activity. A login screen with password access and Touch ID entry helps returning users reach their account without rebuilding recipient information for every order.
Reply handling extends the workflow beyond outgoing mail. Inmate reply letters can be processed for electronic delivery to the sender’s smartphone and email, giving families a practical place to receive correspondence and keep it alongside their account activity. Together, saved contacts, sign-in access, transaction records, and reply delivery support repeated communication rather than a one-time letter.
Publication Requests and Communication Gifts
The Transactions & Deals area adds support tools beyond direct family letters. Request New Publication lets users create a new order or tracking request for books and magazines, while the Gift of Communication option allows credits to be shared with another TextBehind user. These entries can help when a loved one needs reading material or when another family member could use assistance staying in contact.
Keeping publication requests and credit-related options next to Text Letter, TextCard, Doodles4Kids, and General Documents makes the service easier to navigate as needs change.
