Set Up a Personal Audiobook Library
Smart AudioBook Player is built around a library of files you already keep on an Android device. Choose a root folder for your audiobooks, put every title in its own subfolder, and press Update when the folder is ready. The Library then becomes a central place for returning to a book rather than a generic music list.
The opening flow explains the folder hierarchy before the empty library appears, and the main tabs separate All, New, Started, and Finished titles. That arrangement helps a reader see what still needs attention, resume a current book, or revisit completed listening without mixing audiobook files with unrelated audio.
Sort Books and Find the Right Story
A large audiobook collection is easier to use when books can be found by more than one route. Smart AudioBook Player can sort titles by path, title, recent playback, length, or date added, so a reader can switch from a file-oriented view to an order-of-listening view. Folder view is also available for collections arranged by author, series, or storage location.
The Library toolbar keeps refresh and additional options close to the tabs, while Settings lets you decide which discovery controls stay visible. Search is useful when a known title is buried in a deep library; sorting and quick scroll help when browsing is the better choice.
Keep Progress, Queues, and History in Sync
Smart AudioBook Player treats listening progress as part of the library rather than a temporary player state. Each audiobook can keep its own position, so starting another title does not erase the place you reached in the previous one. The book queue can also determine which title plays next when you want a planned sequence.
Playback statistics preserve a longer view of your reading routine, including books you have finished or removed from the current folders. History provides a practical way back after an accidental Next action, and the More menu makes statistics and Help easy to reach without crowding the main Library.
Tune Listening for Everyday Routines
Long listening sessions benefit from controls that adapt to the listener instead of forcing one speed or one stopping point. Playback speed control can make a slow narration easier to follow or help a familiar chapter move faster. Bookmarks mark interesting moments, while independent progress makes it simple to pause one story and continue another later.
Automatic pause can respond when a listener falls asleep, with a shake gesture available to continue playback. Chromecast support and a home-screen widget extend playback beyond the Library, and settings for folder view, quick scroll, and playback statistics let readers shape the everyday experience around commuting, chores, bedtime, or focused study.
