SCAD brings academic dates and campus activity into a dashboard designed for quick daily checks. Users can review quarter milestones, open the academic calendar, and move among Dashboard, Calendar, Messages, and More from the bottom navigation. Date cards separate Atlanta, Savannah, Lacoste, and SCADnow online schedules when their timelines differ, which helps students track the calendar that applies to their location or study format.
The calendar also organizes events by day and shows the event title, time, location, or virtual format on each card. A 30-day view and filter control make it practical to narrow a busy schedule, while tabs for Events, SCADextra, SCADamp, and Exhibitions provide different ways to discover activities beyond ordinary class dates.
Events, Exhibitions, and SCAD Exploration
The Explore area works as a directory for learning about the university beyond a student account. It links to About SCAD, Academics, Locations, Admission, Signature Events, Virtual Tours, Visit, Connect, Maps, SCAD News, SCAD TV, and the university blog. Prospective students and visitors can use these entries to research programs, campuses, exhibitions, and ways to experience SCAD without searching across separate sites.
Event browsing complements that discovery hub with listings for screenings, presentations, masterclasses, and virtual sessions. Each item presents the essential schedule and venue details before the user opens it. Together, Explore and Calendar support planning for campus visits, keeping up with public programming, and finding timely creative events across SCAD locations.
MySCAD Classes, Grades, and Student Services
MySCAD is the personalized side of the app for enrolled students, faculty, and staff. After signing in with a SCAD account, students can reach class schedules and grades, course registration, dining and meal plan information, an interactive map, the faculty and department directory, safety resources, technology availability, Blackboard, and SCAD email. This brings common academic and campus tasks into one mobile starting point.
The login boundary keeps personalized records separate from public university information. A student can browse general events or Explore entries first, then sign in when a task involves classes, grades, account details, or campus services. That separation is useful for both current students handling routine tasks and applicants who only need public information.
Maps, Messages, and Campus Connections
SCAD combines campus navigation and communication tools with its academic features. Interactive maps and location entries help users identify buildings and destinations, while Connect, the faculty and department directory, SCAD News, SCAD TV, and the blog provide routes to university contacts and updates. The Message Center gives signed-in users a dedicated place for app-delivered communication without crowding the main calendar view.
Android notification support can surface timely updates when the user chooses to allow it, and notification settings remain under device control. These tools are most useful when moving between classes, checking an event venue, or looking for a university service away from a desktop. Public resources remain available alongside account-based communication features.
