Geotargeted notifications can alert travelers to nearby planned or unplanned highway closures, including qualifying events that may continue after the app is closed. The feature is optional and is most useful for people who want closure awareness around their current area without repeatedly reopening the map. QuickMap presents its notification terms before the user enables this service.
The map also includes practical roadside and commercial-vehicle resources. Travelers can find safety roadside rest areas and Park & Ride lots, while truck operators can review weigh stations, escape ramps, terminal or service access ramps, overweight corridors, and California truck networks.
