Comic Reading and Page Flow
Perfect Viewer is built for reading comics, illustrated books, and individual images on an Android phone or tablet. Readers can open a file, move page by page, or choose a continuous vertical or horizontal flow when that better suits the material. Automatic single-page and dual-page layouts can adapt the presentation to the screen, while left-to-right and right-to-left reading keeps the page order comfortable for different books.
The reading view also supports pinch-to-zoom and fling gestures, so users can inspect detailed panels and move through a page without searching for small controls. A slideshow option gives image collections a hands-off mode, and the combination of readable layouts and gesture control makes the app useful for both quick browsing and longer reading sessions.
Formats, Archives, and Network Libraries
Local image files are only part of the format coverage. Perfect Viewer can open EPUB, HTML, and TXT ebooks, common image formats such as JPEG, PNG, GIF, BMP, WebP, and TIFF, and comic archives including CBZ/ZIP, CBR/RAR, 7Z/CB7, LZH, and CBT/TAR. PDF, XPS, and DJVU reading is available through the separate PDF plugin, keeping the main viewer focused while extending its library options.
For collections stored away from the phone, the app supports network locations such as CIFS/SAMBA, FTP, SFTP, FTPS, and OPDS. Optional cloud plugins can connect Google Drive, Dropbox, or OneDrive. This mix lets readers keep books in folders, archives, or supported remote libraries instead of converting every file before opening it.
Bookshelf and Collection Management
Bookshelf tools give the reader a practical way to keep a growing collection organized. Thumbnail browsing makes folders and archives easier to scan, while bookmarks, reading marks, history, and a favorites list help users return to books or pages they want to keep close. The app can also remember nearby pages through next- and previous-page caching, which supports a smoother reading routine.
When files need tidying, the file browser includes simple delete and rename actions, and archive extraction can make selected content easier to manage outside the viewer. These controls suit readers who maintain large local libraries, switch between several series, or want a clear path from browsing a folder to resuming a book.
Zoom, Filters, and Display Controls
Perfect Viewer includes controls for readers who want to tune the page rather than accept one fixed presentation. Full size, fit screen, fit width, fit height, fixed size, and stretch modes handle different panel shapes, while averaging, bilinear, bicubic, and Lanczos3 filters provide several ways to balance clarity and speed. Brightness, contrast, and gamma controls are useful when scans vary in tone.
The app can detect or cut away white borders, show images as thumbnails, and set a selected image as wallpaper. Chromecast support adds a larger-screen option for compatible setups. Together, these tools make the viewer flexible for dense manga pages, single illustrations, and relaxed image browsing.
