OpenSpeedTest-Server turns an Android device into a small server for local browser-based speed checks. Start the service from the setup screen and it reports the local address, selected port, and current state in a readable log. The green start control and red stop control make the session easy to begin or end when you are ready to compare network paths.

Share the Local Address Across Devices
The server screen displays a complete local URL, including the Android device address and port, so a second device knows exactly where to connect. Open that address in a normal browser on a phone, tablet, laptop, or desktop that shares the same Wi-Fi or LAN. The browser becomes the test client while the Android app supplies the local server.
Because the address is visible while the service runs, it is easy to move between a wireless device and a wired computer during troubleshooting. Try the same browser workflow near a router, across an Ethernet cable, or from another room to compare how the network path changes the result.
Tune Ports and Watch Server State
Port 3000 is shown as the starting choice, and the Change Port control lets you adapt the service when another local process already uses that number. After a new port is selected, the running address includes the updated value so the browser client can follow the correct route.
The activity log also records milestones such as welcome, starting, using the port, running, stopping, and restarting. That visible sequence helps you tell whether the server is ready before opening the browser, repeat a test after a network change, and stop the service when the comparison is complete.
Diagnose Wi-Fi, Ethernet, and LAN Performance
OpenSpeedTest-Server is suited to practical network checks rather than a single one-time result. Use it to compare Wi-Fi bands, inspect Ethernet cables, check router or switch throughput, or look for a weak link in a mesh network.
