Bill Payments and Account Snapshot
NIPSCO turns recurring bill work into a focused account workflow. Customers can view the current bill, make a payment, review payment history, download a PDF statement, and enroll in options such as AutoPay, Paperless Billing, Levelized Billing, or payment plans when available for the account. These tools keep payment records close to everyday service information.
The Android entry screen puts Make A Payment near the front of the service menu, so a customer can move from opening the app to the billing task without searching through a general utility portal. This is useful for routine monthly payments, checking a past transaction, or keeping a statement ready for records. Customers can choose the payment method and review the terms shown for their account before confirming a transaction.
Usage History and Energy Tracking
Energy tracking gives NIPSCO customers a way to understand how their household or property uses service over time. The app presents usage history and month-over-month comparisons, turning a series of bills into a more readable view of changing consumption. Seeing those periods together can make a sudden increase or a seasonal pattern easier to discuss with the utility.
That history can help customers notice seasonal shifts, review a recent change in usage, or pair a billing question with the period that produced it. The workflow is practical for people who want a quick account check on a phone rather than opening a desktop browser every time they compare energy patterns. It also gives households a useful starting point for planning conservation or checking whether a service change affected usage.
Outage Reporting and Service Changes
NIPSCO combines outage support with service-change tools for customers managing electric or natural-gas accounts. The app can show and report power outages, manage outage alert settings, and guide customers through starting, stopping, or moving service when a household changes address. These actions cover urgent service communication as well as planned moves and new-account setup.
The launch screen exposes Report Outage and Start, Stop, Move tiles alongside billing shortcuts, giving urgent and moving-related tasks a clear entry point. NIPSCO also describes guest access for service changes, while account sign-in remains useful for personalized billing, usage, alerts, and linked-account management. A customer can therefore choose a quick service action or return to the account dashboard for a fuller update.
Multiple Accounts and Everyday Support
Account organization is a major part of NIPSCO’s mobile workflow. Customers can register from the sign-in page, manage multiple service accounts, use one profile across web and mobile, and choose Touch ID or Face Recognition for quicker return access when supported by the device. Keeping those choices together is useful for households, landlords, or customers responsible for more than one service address.
Supporting shortcuts keep common help close by, including safety information, gas and electric guidance, contact options, and account links. Notification settings can surface billing or outage updates after they are enabled, while the app’s compact tiles make it easier to handle a single household task without navigating the full website. The result is a practical customer-service hub rather than a general energy calculator.
