A Photo-First Home for Everyday Editing
Meitu's home workspace puts the main editing routes in one place, so users can choose Photo for an existing image or Camera for a new capture. Beautify opens portrait-focused adjustments, while Collage combines several images into a single layout. Edit Video and Edit Live extend the same entry point to moving content, making the app useful for both quick fixes and more deliberate social posts.
The home grid also surfaces Replace Text, Enhancer, AI Agent, ID Photos, and Watermark Removal alongside seasonal creative entries. Users can move from a simple preset to a more specific task without hunting through nested menus. That mix is especially useful when a photo needs a cleaner finish, a new format, or a ready-to-share composition.
AI Removal, Cutout, and Frame Expansion
AI tools focus on jobs that usually take several manual steps. AI Removal can clean unwanted people, objects, text, or marks from an image, while AI Cutout separates a subject for a new layout. AI Extender is designed to enlarge the frame and fill the added space intelligently, which helps when a portrait or product image does not fit a chosen ratio.
Flash and Auto Remove make the workflow approachable: users can start from a visual example and try the effect, then refine the result in the editor. Enhancer adds an HD-oriented route for soft images, while AI Profile groups portrait formats such as Children, ID, and Workplace. Together, these tools support profile photos, posters, product visuals, and social compositions.
Beautify, ID Photos, and Creative Templates
Beautify gives portrait edits a dedicated path for face and body adjustments, with examples for face reshaping, face slimming, and video retouching. The Flash filter area adds brighter, stylized looks, while ID photo tools present formal portrait layouts for different clothing and background choices. Users can choose between subtle polishing and a more designed final image.
Creative sections make the app useful beyond one-off retouching. Poster Templates, Record of a Happy Life layouts, and the Discover feed provide starting points for framed stories, memory collages, and trend-led designs. A template-first approach helps beginners make a finished composition quickly, while people who prefer control can begin with Photo or Camera and build the result themselves.
Video Tools, Discovery, and Personal Settings
Meitu also covers moving content through Edit Video and Edit Live, letting users take portrait work into short clips and more dynamic creations. The Discover tab organizes trending and recently used templates with Try buttons, so it doubles as a place for ideas and a way to revisit favorite styles. AI Creation brings editor cards and profile formats into a separate browsing space.
The Me area collects Log In, Account and Security, Personalization, Tasks, Icons, and System Access Management. Settings include personal watermarks, dark mode, save location, cache clearing, language, sharing, and content-reporting links. This separation keeps creation tools near the front while giving returning users a clear place to manage preferences and account-related options.
