Server Selection and SSH Tunnel Startup
HA Tunnel Plus centers its main workflow on a compact Home screen where users can choose a server, select a port, choose a connection mode, and press Start. A location such as United States / New York can be paired with Auto port selection, while the connection mode can use Direct Internet over mobile data or Wi-Fi. This layout gives new users a clear starting point before they explore advanced controls.
The app uses SSH2.0-based tunneling and assigns a generated ID for server connections. After choosing a profile, users can switch to the Log tab to follow connection activity, then return to Home when they want to adjust the server, port, or connection method. It is a practical starting workflow for people who need configurable network access.
Custom Payloads, SNI, and Connection Modes
Users who need more than a ready-made profile can turn on Custom Setup and define how a connection begins. HA Tunnel Plus supports typed injection text, including HTTP-style requests, and SNI values for the handshake stage. These controls give experienced users a place to adapt a connection method to a particular server or network instead of relying on a single preset.
The Home screen also exposes connection-mode choices and a server/port pair, so users can keep the basic workflow simple or move into a more deliberate setup. Because these fields affect the way the tunnel is established, they are most useful to people who understand their server details and want direct control over connection behavior.
Encrypted .hat Profiles and Import/Export Tools
HA Tunnel Plus treats connection methods as reusable profiles rather than one-time settings. The navigation drawer provides Export Config and Import Config entries, and the overflow menu adds Import/Export, Server Apps, Clear Logs, Check Updates, and Exit. This makes it easier to move a working method between devices or keep a personal copy for later use.
Exported profiles use the .hat extension and store the defined connection information in an encrypted text file. The export flow can attach a message for the person importing the method and lock the settings so they cannot be viewed or edited. Payload Generator, Identification, and About are also grouped in the drawer for quick access to related tools.
Retry, DNS, and Notification Preferences
Settings give HA Tunnel Plus a deeper control layer for users who need predictable behavior after a connection starts. Connection Retry can attempt to reconnect after a lost connection and stops the service after ten consecutive unsuccessful attempts by default. Forward DNS, Custom DNS, HTTP Proxy, Override Primary Host, and Primary Nameserver options let experienced users shape how requests are handled.
The same area includes sound and vibration choices for connection changes, a theme selector, the base tunnel setting, and TLS version controls. These preferences are useful when the app needs to fit a particular network routine, conserve attention during a long session, or provide clearer status feedback while the tunnel connects and disconnects.
