ANT Radio Service is a background Android connectivity component that lets compatible apps communicate with ANT and ANT+ hardware. It is useful for people who pair phones or tablets with heart-rate straps, bike speed and cadence sensors, power meters, footpods, and other fitness equipment. The service handles the low-power wireless link so an ANT-enabled workout or monitoring app can receive live measurements without implementing the radio layer itself.
