Codenames 2.0.7 is a compact word-association party game for teams that enjoy reading a clue in more than one way. Players divide into red and blue sides, assign a Spymaster, and work through a grid of code words by linking a single clue to a number of guesses. A mistaken choice can help the other team or end the round, so each turn balances creativity with restraint. The Android package offers Play Offline and Play Online entry points, a built-in How to Play guide, and Word Packs for preparing a session. Clue links across a shared word grid
The board turns a single clue and number into a team puzzle. Players weigh several possible word links, select a card, and manage the risk of helping the rival side or touching the black word. This makes a short round engaging for groups that enjoy deduction and conversation.
Spymaster and operative roles
The Spymaster and operative roles create two different ways to read the same grid. One player protects the hidden color plan with a precise clue, while teammates compare meanings and decide how many guesses to attempt.
