Playlist tools turn mobile browsing into practical set preparation. Users can create a new playlist, add discoveries to an existing one, edit the track list, and keep different ideas separated by event, style, energy level, or work in progress. Tracks can also be added to the cart and reviewed from the app before the purchasing step is completed on Beatport's connected services.
Changes made on mobile remain available in Beatport DJ and the Beatport store. With eligible Beatport Streaming plans, the same playlist library can also reach connected DJ software and hardware. That continuity helps a DJ capture an idea on a phone, refine the selection later, and avoid rebuilding the crate before rehearsal or a live set.
Recognize Music with Track ID
Track ID is designed for moments when a DJ hears an unfamiliar record in a club, festival, stream, or everyday setting. Starting the feature lets Beatport listen through the device microphone and return a track match in seconds when the music can be identified. The result can then become part of the same discovery workflow instead of remaining an unlabeled recording or forgotten note.
Identified tracks can be added to a playlist or shared, while Track ID history is saved in the Library for later review. This is especially useful when the room is loud or there is no time to search by lyrics or artist name. Microphone access is only relevant when the recognition feature is used and remains under Android permission controls.
Carry Discoveries into a Connected DJ Workflow
Beatport Mobile connects music discovery with the wider Beatport ecosystem. Playlists can appear in the web store and Beatport DJ, while eligible Streaming tiers extend the library to compatible DJ platforms and equipment. This gives users a direct path from hearing and organizing music on a phone to auditioning selections in the tools they use for mixing and performance.
The free mobile experience provides two-minute previews for tracks, albums, and playlists. Paid Beatport Streaming access adds full-track playback, higher audio quality, and supported third-party DJ connections. DJs can therefore use the app as a lightweight scouting and organization companion, then choose the playback or purchasing route that fits their account and production setup.
