tellows 2.9.1 is an Android caller-identification and spam-protection app for handling unfamiliar calls. It compares incoming numbers with a community database, presents caller information and a 1–9 tellows score, and lets users search a number later for comments and origin details such as country or network. Caller context before answering
tellows compares unfamiliar incoming numbers with a community database and presents caller information, a 1–9 tellows score, and reports about advertising or scam activity. That quick context helps users decide whether to answer, ignore, or block a call.
Reverse lookup with community reports
Search a phone number after a missed or repeated call to review its score, comments, and general origin details such as country or network. Users can add their own rating and experience, making the lookup useful for personal decisions and for improving shared call context.
Personal blacklists and optional SMS lookup
Manual local blocking gives users control over individual unwanted numbers, while premium features add community-based automatic blocking, offline caller identification, and a blacklist based on negatively rated numbers.
