Sonic Blitz 2.2.0 archive notes
Sonic Blitz 2.2.0 presents a Sonic-themed team RPG built around active combat, collectible heroes, and movement stages between encounters. A roster of characters can be organized into five-member squads, with special abilities and positioning shaping each fight against Eggman’s forces. Running sections add ring collection, obstacles, and power-ups, while the Blitz Journey connects rewards, new areas, and booster packs. This release lists 21 additional Green Hill levels, Bonus Level hazards and rewards, pre-battle team setup, double-tap skill activation, updated battle visuals, a low-health indicator, an enemy counter, and a streamlined tutorial and character menu. The package identifies Android 9+ compatibility and uses the XAPK format. The game was later reported discontinued with servers shut down on August 24, 2026, so service-dependent access may no longer be available.
Build Five-Character Battle Teams
The release supports deliberate squad building before each encounter. Players can arrange five heroes, consider their abilities and positions, then time attacks and target weaknesses while facing Eggman’s forces.
Run Through Green Hill Challenges
Movement stages add a fast interlude to the combat loop. Version 2.2.0 lists 21 additional Green Hill levels plus Bonus Level hazards and rewards, with rings, booster packs, and power-ups providing extra goals between battles.
Grow a Sonic Universe Collection
Booster packs and the Blitz Journey connect roster growth with rewards and new zones. The version adds Blaze the Cat and an E-102 Gamma boss encounter, giving collection-focused players more reasons to refine their lineups.
