Root 2.1.5 is a digital woodland strategy game where each faction pursues a different route to control. Players can learn through the Tutorial, configure Local Play or Online Play, and enter challenge menus with Standard and Classic setups, AI opponents, and expansion entries such as The Winter Map, The Riverfolk Expansion, The Underworld Expansion, The Marauder Expansion, and Hirelings and Landmarks. On the board, clearings, paths, faction markers, cards, and item slots turn movement and battles into a shared territory puzzle; a pinch gesture adjusts the map view. Give every faction a different route to victory
Root's woodland sides do not share a single playbook. Choose a faction whose goals, actions, and scoring rhythm fit your preferred style, then turn its unique strengths into a plan for controlling key clearings. This variety makes a familiar map worth revisiting because the same board asks a different question with each faction.
Build a match around maps, modes, and AI
Tutorial, Standard, and Classic setups make it easier to tune the first match, while local, online, and AI options suit different groups. The challenge menu also lists Clockwork, Winter, Riverfolk, Underworld, Marauder, Hirelings, and Landmarks entries, giving returning players fresh combinations to explore as they learn the forest's tempo.
Read the board, then save your place
Clearings, paths, cards, markers, and faction panels keep the state of a match visible as turns develop. Zoom the map with two fingers when you need a wider strategic view, then use the General, Gameplay, or Audio settings and choose Save and Exit when it is time to pause.
